В этой постановке мы представим Вам несколько способов развлечься (а также возможные последствия этих развлечений), в какой бы глуши Вы ни жили (даже в Бостоне). Мужчины в самом расцвете лет и сил, с необходимым жизненным опытом, воплотившимся в комок нервов вместо талии и ниже, попробуют соблазнить чужих жен. Ну а жены… Что сделают жены – Вы увидите, когда придете на наш новый спектакль по мотивам пьесы Шекспира “Виндзорские насмешницы”. Этот способ развлечения великолепно подходит всем жителям Массачусетса, а также их гостям из других штатов и стран.
Музыка и костюмы были заказаны заблаговременно в Англии в 1605 году, а потому успели дойти вовремя и будут создавать точную атмосферу того времени.
Спектакль показывается по-русски с английскими субтитрами. Если они вам нужны, предупредите, пожалуйста, заранее.
The Merry Wives of Windsor
With this performance, we would like to spread some optimism and show that no matter how dull the surroundings or how monotonous the routine of daily life, a creative mind can always find ways to entertain itself. When the hedonistic, frivolous, corpulent, and overly confident Sir John Falstaff finds himself in debt, he plots to have the two wealthiest women in Windsor fall in love with him and shower him with passion and gold.
But Mistress Page and Mistress Ford are no easy targets; their retaliation is profound, but also humorous, earning them William Shakespeare’s title: “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”
